he Autobahn is a well-known highway for its lack of speed limits, allowing drivers to race their way down the road and reach incredible speeds. So AutoTopNL decided to take a S550 Ford Mustang GT onto the famous road to open up the throttle. But not just any Ford Mustang GT. This one has been equipped with the Roush Performance Supercharger, which boosts the power output up to 750 ponies, almost as much as a Shelby GT500.
The video, posted on Motorsports TV, is entirely free of talking—allowing viewers to listen to the pure roar of the engine, experiencing the driving of the 750-horsepower Ford Mustang completely in the first person, with each manual transmission shift. Additionally, we can see the speedometer, which reaches the 260 kph (161 mph) maximum point several times in the video and likely goes well beyond that readout. Luckily, the driver’s phone also shows the vehicle’s speed, although it’s not easy to see the numbers.
Ford Mustang GT Gets 750 HP From Roush Supercharger
The source of the immense power coming from this Ford Mustang GT is a Roush Supercharger kit which adds an impressive 300 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque over the stock engine—bringing total power output to 750 ponies and 670 lb-ft of torque. If you want to get the same power from this Mustang out of your 5.0L V8, it’s entirely possible as the Roush Supercharger Kit is compatible with automatic and manual transmissions. Of course, you will have to pay a hefty price, around $8,995. But that’s not that much when considering the price for a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and the similarity in power figures.
